Dr. Colica earned both his B.S. in Natural Sciences and his Ph.D. in Agricultural Microbial Biotechnology at the University of Florence, Italy. His Ph.D. as been recognized equivalent to the Ph.D. in Agronomic Sciences and Bioengineering by the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL), in Louvain la Neuve, Belgium, while serving as Chargé de Recherche.
Giovanni has worked for a variety of international corporations and the European Union, National and regionally-funded research projects with research institutes including CMET-U Gent in Belgium. Combining his academic background in the natural sciences and his experience in environmental and industrial biotech applications, Giovanni is a recognized innovator who has advanced commercial microalgae cultivation. He joined us in 2018 and serves as our Director of Production for our algae cultivation division – Guangxi Xiaozao Agriculture Technology Co., Ltd.
